The latest Made in Yorkshire breakfast event was hosted by Kirklees College on Wednesday 26th May at their Process Manufacturing Centre, Huddersfield.

The Process Manufacturing Centre (PMC) is an employer led training centre for process manufacturing industries, offering a state of the art process manufacturing training facility, chemistry laboratories as well as IT and learning resources.

The college boasts over 18,000 students across full time study, apprenticeships and part time courses, offering students of any age and background some of the best opportunities to achieve their goals in education.

Kirklees College Principal, Marie Gilluley stated: “The event has been tremendously successful because we have made contact with a large number of companies here that have got queries that we can continue to speak about with them. Some of them knew the College already and we have met them before but this event has allowed them to see the facilities that we have and to work and prosper together.”

Kirklees College is also committed to serving the local communities and business throughout the Kirklees region, working with over 1000 employers around West Yorkshire, as Marie added: “It is important for companies to upskill employees, future plan and progress people as far as they can go. We can provide customised courses of any sort. So, it doesn’t have to be qualifications, it could just be meeting a particular business need. We do every subject at Kirklees College, so our aim is to meet the wide range of training needs for an organisation.”
